The major French bolt down superstar of the mid-'90s, Pascal Obispo sold systematically beginning with his 1993 debut, Asset Que Tout Au Monde. Noted arranger Jean-Claude Vannier (world Health Organization had worked with Serge Gainsbourg) helped out on 1995's Un Jour Comme Aujourd'hui, and the record album became a platinum success account. With the volcano of his third geartrain LP Superflu (the title of respect is French for "purposeless"), Obispo sold over half a one and only thousand thousand copies in France alone.
